A heritage centre with 11 restored buildings to explore. The Alberta Beach and District Museum and Archives Society—also known as the Alberta Beach Heritage Village and Museum—was established in 1976. It has since expanded from a single-building museum on Main Street to a vibrant heritage site featuring 11 historic buildings and two Indigenous exhibits, located behind the old Alberta Beach Hotel and Seniors Complex.
The museum proudly holds the designation of a Recognized Museum by the Alberta Museums Association.
During its open season, the museum not only highlights the lives of those who lived in the region from the early to mid-1900s but also hosts a variety of special events for both the community and visitors. Additional indoor events are held throughout the rest of the year.
