Located in the Fort Assiniboine Sandhills Wildland Provincial Park, Athabasca Lookout Loop is a nice and easy walking trail to a beautiful viewpoint of the Athabasca River valley! There is little to no elevation gain on this flat path. You can find the trailhead off of Highway 661. There will be a small dirt turnoff adjacent to the path where you can consider parking. The trail itself is nice and forested, with ample tree coverage.
